BSc Occupational Therapy
Kate is an OT based in Giffnock, just outside of Glasgow. She specialises in Functional Rehabilitation, supporting adults across Scotland with physical and cognitive conditions. Kate has over 15 years of experience, working with adults in variety of settings and supporting with both physical and neurological needs including amputations, neurological conditions, aging, dementia, and brain injury.
Kate delivers expert assessments in a client’s home, evaluating their current and potential future needs as well as risks around the home. She has particular expertise working with older clients, supporting with functional skills, activities of daily living, and falls prevention. Kate can also recommend equipment designed to assist with mobility and safety in the home. She aims to ensure that client’s goals are addressed, maximising their independence at home and improving quality of life. Kate often works in interdisciplinary teams that facilitate holistic assessments and treatments.
Kate is a member of two Specialist Sections at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists; Older People and Independent Practice.
