Based in Hampshire, Debbie delivers specialist paediatric assessments to children in the areas of Fleet, Farnborough, Basingstoke, Camberley and Alton. She has completed postgraduate training in Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS), sensory integration and therapeutic listening programmes and utilises these skills when treating children at home, in school or at nursery.
Having spent her career working in both community and hospital settings, Debbie now provides independent assessments and treatment programmes to children in their own environment. She has experience helping children with a variety of clinical needs, including autism and Down's syndrome, as well as treating those with dexterity and hand writing difficulties.
Debbie will develop a personalised treatment programme which includes the needs and lifestyle of the child and their family. She will ensure that treatment goals are set which are realistic and achievable and will help the child reach their maximum potential. Debbie is skilled at combining sensory-motor, perceptual-motor, functional and cognitive approaches in order to meet the individual needs of each child she treats.
She is a member of the Sensory Integration Network and The College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Sections in both Children, Young People and Families and Independent Practice.
