Suzette is a specialist Hand Therapist based in Hereford. She visits clients across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, and Monmouthshire. Working in occupational therapy for over 15 years, Suzette has extensive experience helping clients with both trauma-based rehabilitation and ongoing conditions. This includes hand and upper limb injury such as, fractures, dislocations, burns, and damage to ligaments, tendons, or nerves, as well as ongoing conditions, such as carpal tunnel, trigger finger, arthritis, and lupus.
Suzette’s therapy focuses on pain management, developing fine motor skills through tailored exercise programmes, and where necessary, splinting. Suzette aims to enable clients to comfortably and safely conduct personal care and domestic activities, such as washing, dressing, cooking, and cleaning. She can also advise on adaptive equipment and devices to improve function, reduce strain, and prevent injury.
Suzette can also offer Vocational Rehabilitation, providing support for her client and their employer to facilitate either a return to work or measures to remain in work. This includes motivational interviewing, re-establishing a working routine, activity planning, and managing motivation and tiredness.
Suzette is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT).
