PgDip Occupational Therapy
School Based Therapy/Support
Janita is a Paediatric OT who works with children and their families, visiting them in both home and school settings across London. Janita specialises in working with children with sensory processing difficulties, learning difficulties, developmental delay, and autism. She aims to ensure that every child maximises their full potential, typically covering fine and gross motor skills, visual perception, and behavioural management.
Janita works with children to help them develop the strength, balance, and stamina to independently play and take part in physical activities. She also helps them in the home environment to carry out self-care tasks, such as washing and dressing. Janita can also conduct handwriting assessments, analysing a child’s hand strength, dexterity, and pencil grip. This links to other fine motor skills that Janita will assess, including handling cutlery and scissors.
Janita is a professional member of the Children, Young People & Families specialist section at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. She has also undertaken additional training in Sensory Integration and the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding.
Janita is just one of our nationwide network of therapists.
