Kirsten is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist located in Edinburgh, Scotland. With over 10 years of clinical experience working with a vast client group, Kirsten provides expert advice on Housing & Equipment and Moving & Handling. Kirsten has helped clients with multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and many more.

Kirsten’s aim is to ensure that her clients remain safely at home and act independently for as long as possible. This includes assessing the client’s home environment, considering access in and out of the home, the property layout, and trip hazards. Kirsten will recommend home modifications and equipment to suit a client’s need, whether a simple grab rail in the bathroom or a stair lift. Kirsten’s recommendations and advice on moving safely around the house aim to ensure that a client remains mobile and prevent falls or injury.

Additionally, Kirsten focuses on daily living skills and self-care, working with a client to find solutions to daily challenges such as cooking and other household activities. This includes improving a client’s strength and balance, enabling them to safely and confidently conduct personal care activities.

Kirsten is a professional Royal College of Occupational Therapist (RCOT) member and has completed further training on inclusive building design and wheelchair assessments.
