Karen is an OT based in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, delivering Housing & Equipment assessments and Functional Rehabilitation. Karen works with clients with a wide range of conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, learning difficulties, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, and multiple sclerosis. Her holistic approach helps clients to adapt to a newly diagnosed condition or retain maximum independence with an ongoing condition.
Karen oversees a client’s rehabilitation, focusing on their gross and fine motor skills, balance, and coordination which will enable them to safely and confidently complete self-care tasks independently. Karen supplements her treatment programmes with equipment and home adaptations to support mobility and comfort. She helps clients to develop routines which can also effectively manage pain and fatigue. Karen can also provide guidance on DFG assessments, supporting clients and their families with eligibility and applications.
