Clare is a Paediatric OT located near Rochester, covering a client base across all of Kent. Clare specialises in autism, learning disabilities, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and other mental health needs. She offers assessments and treatments in both school and home settings, dependent on the child’s individual needs.
Clare works holistically, considering a child’s every need and working with families and schools to ensure that each child receives the right support. Clare aims to develop a child’s communication and social interaction skills, helping them to manage behaviour and emotion. She also focuses on physical ability, such as fine and gross motor skills, to develop strength and coordination.
Clare can provide additional support for children during periods of stress, for example when starting a new school. She aims to adapt a child’s routine, introducing new activities whilst minimising disruption. This includes maximising a child’s independence through their ability to conduct self-care tasks, including washing, dressing, and feeding.
Clare is a member of The Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
