Julie

Based just outside of Dereham in Norfolk, Julie is a skilled Occupational Therapist with over 10 years’ experience. She specialises in Housing & Equipment and complex Moving and Handling solutions, supporting clients across East Anglia.

Julie works with clients with a wide range of long-term and progressive conditions such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, dementia, and learning disabilities. She provides in depth assessments of a client’s functional ability, their ability to safely complete daily tasks and confidence leaving the home. Julie can recommend equipment or adaptations in order to improve a client’s mobility and maximise their potential. This includes assessing a client's needs and eligibility in regards to applying for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) to adapt their home environment to enable them to live as independently as possible. Julie has overseen the provision of stair lifts, through floor lifts, wet rooms, and housing extensions.

Julie is also an expert in complex Moving & Handling solutions. She has completed a Train the Trainer course and has developed appropriate moving and handling techniques to ensure all individuals, no matter how complex their needs are, can be moved safely and as comfortably as possible.
