Katie is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with over 15 years’ in the profession. She is based just outside of Glasgow, visiting clients in the city and surrounding areas. Katie specialises in Functional Rehabilitation and supports clients with a wide range of injuries and conditions such as brain injury, cerebral palsy, orthopaedics and trauma, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, dementia, and stroke.

Katie provides holistic assessments of a client’s health and wellbeing needs. She has expertise in impaired mobility and function due to life changing injuries and conditions. She helps clients to manage pain, stress, and fatigue through tailored therapy programmes and the provision of equipment and adaptations to maximise independence and prevent falls. Katie also has a specialist interest in anxiety management, supporting clients with the mental health side of an injury or condition. She has specialist training in Therapeutic Listening and Motivational interviewing.

Focused on delivering the best possible care to her clients, Katie regularly undertakes Post Graduate training to expand her knowledge and skill-set. She has completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Performance Coaching and Motivational Interviewing, Moving & Handling, and specialised seating assessments. Katie is also a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and their Specialist Section for Independent Practice.
