Based near Sidcup in South East London, Maria visits clients across London, Kent, Surrey, and Essex. With over 10 years of experience in a wide range of settings, Maria can help clients with many different conditions and injuries such as amputation, cardio-respiratory impairments, stroke, progressive neurological impairments, and elderly care.
Maria has developed expertise in Functional Rehabilitation through her work in the community, supporting clients in their own homes and rehabilitation units. Her focus is on helping a client to develop their self-care and daily living skills so they can continue to live independently and feel confident. Maria has also worked extensively within elderly care, helping clients to maintain independence at home for as long as possible, reducing the risk of falls, and building confidence in the community.
She has a particular interest in respiratory conditions, providing clients with advice on fatigue management, effective routine planning, anxiety, and breathlessness. She also assesses a client’s home for any Housing & Equipment needs, recommending suitable aids and adaptations to enhance the client’s quality of life. Throughout her varied experience, she has also established knowledge in manual handling in conjunction with developing skills in the assessment and provision of specialist seating and postural management.
