Based in Woodley, just outside of Reading, Erica is an expert Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience. She visits clients across Berkshire and the neighbouring counties of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, and Surrey. After qualifying, Erica worked in acute medicine, orthopaedics, and surgery before choosing to specialise in neurological rehabilitation. She now works with adult clients with a range of physical and cognitive conditions including stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Guillain Barre syndrome, and other progressive neurological conditions.
Erica has developed her expertise working in the NHS and independent health care settings. She brings to her role a wealth of specialist experience and knowledge in neurological rehabilitation and how to maximise a client’s independence and quality of life. She provides comprehensive assessments and individual goal focused treatments that cover postural and seating needs, cognitive rehabilitation, activities of daily living re-training, upper limb rehabilitation and splinting, and fatigue management.
Erica is a member of the Neurological Practice Specialist Section at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and actively develops her clinical skills through regular post graduate training. She has successfully completed Bobath modules 1-3 and is also a SMART accredited practitioner with a special interest in prolonged disorders of consciousness.
