Based in West Sussex, Clare provides expert paediatric therapy to families in the areas of Chichester, Crawley, Horsham, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. She has completed a postgraduate diploma in the management of childhood disability, as well as qualifications in sensory integration, Bobath and level 1 British Association of Hand Therapy (BAHT) course. She is a member of the Sensory Integration Network and the British Association of Bobath Trained Therapists.
Working for the NHS and in private practice, Clare has extensive experience of working with children aged 0-18 years. She treats children with a range of conditions, disabilities and learning difficulties including cerebral palsy, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD), dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism and Down's Syndrome. She has worked in many healthcare settings, in both mainstream and special schools, nurseries, respite care and in the child's home.
Clare will help families and children become as independent as possible in their every day lives. Using a variety of assessment tools, both standardised and non-standardised, and treatment approaches tailor-made to the child, Clare ensures that treatment goals and therapy are both realistic and achievable. Intervention includes hand therapy and splinting, sensory integration and neuro-development treatment.
Clare maintains active professional development through her membership of the College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Sections in both Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) and Independent Practice.
