Suzi qualified as an occupational therapist in 1996 and has spent her career working with adults and children in a variety of clinical settings. She specialises in rehabilitation, assessing her client's functional, neurological and vocational rehabilitation needs. Based in Plymouth, Suzi works in South West England and travels to homes in Barnstaple, Exeter, Dartmouth and Newton Abbott.
Having worked in private practice for many years, Suzi has gained extensive experience working with a range of clients. This includes managing medical conditions such as cerebral palsy, amputation, brain injury and mental health diagnoses. Assessing in the home environment, Suzi provides her client and their family advice and support, including a treatment plan which outlines recommendations and therapeutic intervention required to help the client regain their independence.
Suzi has experience working with clients with complex postural difficulties, identifying pieces of specialist equipment to support postural alignment and offer advice on safe moving & handling within the home and community. She also offers therapeutic support to clients dealing with the frustration that goes along with a life changing event, including clients with anxiety and low mood.
Alongside her clinical OT work, Suzi works as an independent case manager, providing services for adults and children living with complex brain injuries and/or physical disabilities.
