Based in North Yorkshire, Sarah delivers independent assessments to clients at home in York, Whitby, Selby and also in larger cities such as Bradford and Leeds. She helps adults with seating, housing & equipment and rehabilitation needs.
As an expert occupational therapist, Sarah is committed to ensuring she delivers the highest standards of clinical care to her clients and their families. She maintains active professional development through her membership with The British Association of Occupational Therapists, as well as attending seminars and conferences.
Sarah has extensive experience working for the NHS, mainly within adult community rehabilitation. She works with clients with a range of clinical conditions, including stroke, Parkinson's Disease, brain injury and arthritis. She helps clients regain independence in their everyday activities, including self care tasks, access to the community and leisure activities and getting back to work.
Delivering independent assessments for The OT Practice, Sarah supports her client and their family to ensure a goal orientated programme has been developed and these goals are realistic and attainable. This would include recommendations on appropriate equipment and specialist seating, expert advice on adaptations to the home and support from Sarah to help the client reach their goals.
