Qualifying as an occupational therapist in 2000, Bethan has spent her career treating adults and children with complex and long term conditions. She specialises in neurological rehabilitation and also supports housing & equipment needs, seating & postural management and moving & handling. Bethan is based in Surrey and visits clients and their families in Guildford, Croydon and Woking, as well as areas of Hampshire and West Sussex.
Varying her work between private practice, medico-legal work, the NHS and social services, Bethan is committed to supporting her clients achieve their goals and maximise their potential. She has treated long term neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury and head injury, as well as working with children with developmental delay, sensory processing disorder and autism.
She provides thorough client-focused assessments and intervention, working with her clients and their families in their home environment. Within the treatment plan, Bethan can address activities of daily living, seating and posture, upper limb skills, bespoke equipment and advice for minor environmental adaptations. She also provides therapy for visual and sensory issues, fatigue management and stress management.
Bethan attends regular training, having completed qualifications in sensory integration and therapeutic listening. She is also a member of the College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Sections in Independent Practice and Neurology.
