Rachel has worked as an occupational therapist for 17 years gaining clinical experience across the NHS and charitable sectors as well as spending 6 months volunteering in a rehabilitation unit in South India.She has experience of working within both In Patient and community settings, and has extensive experience of working with adults with physical disabilities as well as those with life limiting conditions.
Rachel currently works in the community, visiting clients and carers in their own homes, carrying out assessments to support them to live as independently as possible. She works with clients with a range of needs and supports clients in areas such as, functional rehabilitation, daily living skills and self care, as well as housing and equipment, fatigue management and routine planning, she also provides palliative care. She uses a holistic approach to assess needs, focusing on goal orientated treatment to help her clients get the most from life.
Rachel is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and is committed to continuing her personal development and expanding her clinical knowledge.
