Working as an Occupational Therapist for over 10 years, Sinead has gained clinical experience across the NHS, charitable organisations, and the private sector. Her areas of expertise rest in acute medical conditions, neurological rehabilitation (including neuro palliative), and psychosis (as a result of acquired brain injury). Sinead is currently based in Northampton and visits clients across the Midlands including Milton Keynes, Bedford, Kettering, and Leamington Spa.
Sinead has developed her knowledge and skill-set working in both community and hospital settings, including locked rehabilitation. She can carry out specialised functional assessments using the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) to ascertain a client’s level of occupational performance. She implements a client centred approach to understand goals and purposeful activities in order to enhance quality of life and overall independent living skills. Sinead offers individualised treatment plans that envelop a holistic approach, transferable skills and knowledge of physical/mental health conditions.
Sinead remains actively involved in CPD and reflective practice opportunities to ensure she works within up-to-date guidelines. She works collaboratively with her clients and their families to set SMART goals and works holistically to ensure all of her clients’ needs are addressed.
