Salma is an expert Occupational Therapist qualifying in 2011 with a BSc Honours in Occupational Therapy at Brunel University. She has seven years working experience in the private and public health sector. She has a varied background in treating clients in an acute clinical setting presenting with a range of medical conditions, such areas include; respiratory care, gastroenterology, cardiology, neuro rehabilitation, stroke, ITU and critical care, trauma and orthopeadics including elective admissions.
Salma maintains a clinical role as a Team Lead Occupational therapist mainly specialising in medicine, rehabilitation, home adaptations and manual handling. She has a particular interest working with clients requiring falls intervention, dementia care, physical rehabilitation, manual handling training and home adaptations.
Salma regularly engages in training and education relevant to her field of specialities to maintain a high level of professional development, alongside engaging in regular clinical supervision.
