Anita qualified as a Occupational Therapist in 1985. She obtained a diploma in Family Therapy Studies in 1993. Over her extensive career she has attended numerous formal and informal courses and training events, ranging from Sensory integration to housing adaptations. Anita has many years of experience within mental health, especially with children.
For the last 10 years Anita has worked independently, in different areas including, functional and mobility assessments, case management and an expert witness role with a focus on orthopaedic trauma and mental health issues.
Anita provides supervision to OT's in private practice, and is a consultant OT to a local autism educational establishment. Anita has delivered training nationally and locally at different OT events and contributed to OT journals. Professionally she has sat on local and national committees within the College of Occupational Therapy regional structures. Anita's specialism is children's mental health and optimising function.
