Laura

OT Laura works in Southeast England (Kent) specialising in Seating and Postural Management, Functional and Neurological Rehabilitation, and Moving & Handling. Laura enjoys working with adults providing Vocational Rehabilitation, and Cognitive and Perceptual assessments following a Neurological event, (specialising in Strokes) to improve Fatigue, ADLs and Gross & Fine Motor Skills of the Upper Limbs. She has worked with Brain Tumours, Inattention, Parkinson’s Disease, and Subarachnoid Haemorrhage.

Laura is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience (over 20 years) and is dedicated to providing tailored therapy plans and has a 'can do' approach. She enjoys independent practice because she is able to promote optimal outcomes for individuals.

To maintain her knowledge and skills she continues to read and research clinical subject matters, and she attends, arranges, and delivers training sessions and conferences.

She has been instrumental in developing Stroke services in Medway and Swale, and although Laura's more recent skills have been in Stroke rehabilitation, Laura's skills are readily transferable to other client groups.
