Leisa

Leisa is an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist specialising in Paediatrics and Sensory Integration. Based in London, she provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments across West and South London and Kent, supporting children and young people with sensory processing, developmental, emotional and functional needs. She has particular expertise in sensory processing and modulation, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, self-care, executive functioning, social participation and functional skills.

Qualifying from London South Bank University with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, Leisa has extensive experience in school-based practice, including within an SEMH school. Her experience includes supporting children and young people with autism, ADHD, developmental coordination difficulties, attachment-related needs, anxiety, trauma-related needs and behavioural challenges. Leisa also provides environmental assessments, sensory environment adaptations, classroom strategies, equipment recommendations and activity grading to reduce barriers and promote participation in learning and everyday activities.

Leisa has completed Sensory Integration training and postgraduate study in Mental Health Trauma and Attachment, supporting her trauma-informed and holistic approach. She has also provided consultancy to schools and community services, written reports to inform Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes and contributed to multidisciplinary decision-making.

Leisa is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). She is committed to child-centred practice that promotes confidence, emotional wellbeing, independence and meaningful participation.
