Vera

Vera is an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatric Occupational Therapy and sensory processing. Based in South London, she provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments across Merton, Sutton, Lambeth and Croydon, supporting infants, children and young people with developmental delays, neurological conditions and a wide range of complex needs.

Vera has extensive experience working across community services and special schools, supporting high-risk babies, children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Down syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder/Dyspraxia, learning disabilities, global developmental delay and sensory processing difficulties.

Her clinical expertise includes supporting independence with activities of daily living, including dressing, toileting and eating, alongside developing fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing and visual perception. Vera is also experienced in assessing and recommending specialist equipment, including seating systems, slings and toileting equipment for children with physical disabilities.

Vera works closely with families and education staff, providing tailored training and workshops around sensory processing, self-care and motor skills development. She has undertaken specialist training in sensory integration, motor skills, postural management and developmental assessment, supporting her evidence-based clinical practice. Vera is also fluent in Portuguese and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
