Anthea is a highly specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist supporting children and young people with complex developmental, neurological and emotional needs. Based in the East of England, she provides specialist occupational therapy assessments across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Anthea has extensive expertise in autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), ADHD, Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, trauma, sensory integration difficulties, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and supporting non-speaking and pre-verbal children.

With over two decades of experience, Anthea has extensive experience completing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments, detailed school observations and comprehensive functional assessments to identify barriers to learning, participation and independence. Her specialist clinical skills include sensory integration, fine and gross motor development, handwriting, visual perception, co-ordination, motor planning, emotional regulation and self-care skills, including dressing and feeding.

Anthea takes a compassionate, playful and family-centred approach, recognising every child's unique strengths and working collaboratively with parents, schools and multidisciplinary teams to develop meaningful, practical strategies that support participation at home and in education. She is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and is recognised by families for helping children to "shine". She has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in Sensory Integration, DIR Floortime, the Bobath approach, trauma-informed practice, interoception and emotional regulation, ensuring her interventions reflect current evidence and best practice.
