Amy

Amy is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Moving and Handling, and Housing and Equipment. Based in Taunton, she provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments across South West England and South Wales, supporting adults with complex physical, neurological and age-related needs. She has particular expertise in specialist equipment, home adaptations, falls assessments and postural support. Amy is highly experienced in assessing and prescribing bespoke equipment, mobility aids and assistive technology, as well as recommending minor and major home adaptations and rehousing where required. She also provides advice and training to clients, families and paid carers on safe moving and handling techniques and the use of specialist equipment.

Qualifying in 1996, Amy has extensive experience across NHS and Adult Social Care settings and has developed particular expertise in supporting adults with progressive neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease, as well as spinal injuries, frailty and age-related mobility and cognitive difficulties. Amy is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy support.
