Based in Edinburgh, Laura is an OT visiting clients across Scotland and the North of England. She specialises in Housing & Equipment, providing holistic assessments and supporting clients with Functional Rehabilitation. Throughout her career, Laura has worked with clients with a wide range of conditions including Parkinson's and dementia, multiple sclerosis, frailty and old age, TIA and stroke, learning disability, mobility issues, depression and anxiety.
Laura delivers rehabilitation focused on supporting clients to regain strength, promote independence, and take part in leisure activities. Laura can support a client with developing their confidence in self-care tasks such as washing and dressing, whilst also developing an effective routine to manage pain and fatigue. Laura has particular expertise with elderly clients, conducting comprehensive risk assessments in the home to help prevent falls and enhance quality of life.
Laura is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, attending professional conferences, utilising new research in her work, and completing additional courses to further her clinical expertise, such as Train the Trainer.
