Susanna

Susanna is a highly experienced Neurological Occupational Therapist specialising in neurological rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological conditions. Based in Norfolk, she provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and rehabilitation across Norwich, Great Yarmouth, King's Lynn, Beccles, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Debenham, Laxfield and Halesworth. She is experienced in delivering comprehensive neurological assessments, cognitive rehabilitation, functional rehabilitation, upper limb assessment and treatment, spasticity management, wheelchair and seating assessments, complex postural management, moving and handling, environmental controls and assistive technology.

Qualifying in 2002 in South Africa, Susanna has more than two decades of experience supporting adults with neurological conditions across acute hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation and community neurorehabilitation services. She has a particular interest in Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness and is an Accredited Expert SMART Assessor with extensive experience supporting individuals with locked-in syndrome, traumatic brain injury and hypoxic brain injury. Throughout her career, she has also worked with people following stroke, brain tumours, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease and dementia.

Alongside her clinical work, Susanna has held service management roles and led multidisciplinary therapy teams, supporting service development and clinical excellence. She has provided formal and informal training, supervised Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals, participated in research projects, and presented at Occupational Therapy conferences. Susanna is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists.
