Hugh is an experienced Housing and Equipment Occupational Therapist with over 30 years’ experience delivering community-based assessments, rehabilitation and personalised support services across London and the Home Counties. He specialises in housing adaptations, equipment provision, moving and handling, and functional rehabilitation for adults with physical disabilities, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, stroke and brain injury.
Having qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1988, Hugh has worked across health, social care and private practice settings as a clinician, case manager and senior clinical manager. In addition to his Occupational Therapy qualification, Hugh holds an MSc in Rehabilitation Counselling, completed in 1997, providing specialist knowledge in supporting individuals with the psychological adjustment associated with disabling conditions and life-changing events. He maintains his professional development through training, supervision and relevant conferences and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
