Helen

Helen's practice as an OT delivers affirming, person-centred occupational therapy supporting children, adolescents and adults with both complex physical and mental health profiles including ADHD, autism, trauma and neurological injury as well as psychosis and substance-related challenges. She has worked across education, residential, hospital and care settings.

Her vast experience includes but is not limited to sensory processing differences, emotional and behavioural regulation difficulties, complex mental health conditions, trauma and attachment-related presentations. Alongside neurodevelopmental conditions, social communication and participation difficulties, gross and fine motor skills, dexterity and hand strength, balance and co-ordination, visual perception, functional skill deficits impacting daily living, complex needs requiring multi-agency input, high-risk presentations (including self-harm and safeguarding concerns). She has worked with those transitioning from inpatient hospital care to those requiring support with community reintegration and adaptation for independent living and return to work.

Helen has delivered both individual and group therapy including functional skills, splinting and wheelchair cushion pressure mapping. She also conducts specialist seating, mobility, and environmental adaptations.

This highly qualified therapist is also BOBATH trained and has her sensory integration qualifications.
