Based in Fareham, near Portsmouth and Southampton, Sharne is an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of experience. She focuses on Housing & Equipment, Functional Rehabilitation, and Moving & Handling. Sharne works with clients with acquired injuries, hip and knee replacements, and numerous neurological conditions including, stroke, Guillain Barre syndrome, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, and Parkinson’s disease. Sharne aims to make every client feel confident in their own home, through adapted techniques to complete routine tasks and equipment aids to support daily activity.
Sharne focuses on a client’s ability to safely and comfortably undertake self-care and domestic tasks at home, which typically includes washing and dressing, cooking and cleaning, and getting out and about. Sharne will assess a client’s current capability and will devise a tailored therapy programme, considering both current and future needs. Sharne aims to deliver holistic therapy, considering a client’s functional and equipment requirements. She can recommend minor and major home adaptations designed to improve a client’s quality of life and provide training of assistive equipment. Sharne also offers support to clients and their families applying for Disabled Funding Grants (DFG).
