Joanne is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Functional and Neurological Rehabilitation. Based in Cardiff, she provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments across South West England and Wales, supporting adults with complex physical, cognitive and psychological needs, including brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease, dementia, and orthopaedic and medical conditions.

Joanne qualified from the University College of Ripon and York St John in 1997 and has extensive experience across acute and community settings, including working as a Band 7 Team Leader. She has particular expertise in complex rehabilitation, functional and cognitive assessments, risk management, falls assessments, equipment provision, home adaptations, fatigue and energy conservation, and supporting clients to maintain independence within their own homes and communities. She also provides vocational assessments and advice, develops rehabilitation programmes, and supports families and carers with the long-term management of complex conditions.

Joanne takes a holistic, person-centred approach, working collaboratively with clients to identify meaningful goals and maximise safety, independence and quality of life. She is HCPC registered and has a friendly, professional and approachable manner.
