Mel is an experienced HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist specialising in functional rehabilitation, supporting adults and older people with complex needs across Wales, South West England and the West Midlands. She has particular expertise in holistic functional assessments, environmental assessments, falls prevention, fatigue management, community integration, and the provision of small aids and minor adaptations.

Qualifying from Cardiff University in 2008, Mel has developed extensive experience in functional rehabilitation, complex trauma, orthopaedics, mental health, dementia care and long-term conditions. She is skilled in developing SMART goals and delivering outcome-focused interventions that address barriers within the home, workplace and wider community, supporting clients to maximise independence, participation and wellbeing. She also has experience in vocational rehabilitation and psychoeducational interventions.

Alongside her clinical practice, Mel provides supervision and mentoring to peers and is committed to ongoing professional development through training and conferences. Her compassionate, evidence-based approach places clients at the centre of decision-making, ensuring they feel heard, respected and actively involved throughout their rehabilitation journey.
