Claire

Claire is an experienced HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist specialising in Housing and Equipment, Moving and Handling and Functional Rehabilitation. Based in Hertfordshire, she provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, supporting adults with complex neurological conditions, long-term and progressive conditions, and physical disabilities.

Claire has extensive experience across Local Authority, NHS, Higher Education and consultancy settings. She is highly experienced in Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) assessments, major and minor adaptations, re-housing, specialist equipment, moving and handling and community-based rehabilitation.

Alongside her clinical practice, Claire is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Northampton, where she supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research, supports practice education and delivers teaching on occupational frameworks, including the World Health Organization International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health.

Claire is currently completing a Doctorate in Professional Practice in Health and Social Care, with research focusing on ethical resilience and moral distress among UK Occupational Therapists. This further develops her expertise in research, critical analysis, ethics and reflective practice.

Claire is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), including its Specialist Sections for Older People and Independent Practice, and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). She is committed to objective, evidence-based practice and delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy that promotes independence, safety and meaningful outcomes.
