Qualifying as an occupational therapist in 1995, Ian specialises in neurological, functional and vocational rehabilitation for adults. Based in Wolverhampton, Ian travels to Walsall, and Dudley, as well as to Derby, Birmingham and Coventry visiting clients at home. Ian has completed a postgraduate course in the management of neurological conditions.
During Ian's career, he has worked in acute, out patients and community settings. He now provides independent assessments to clients at home, with experience helping clients with a variety of clinical needs such as chronic pain, brain injury, stroke, fatigue and hand/wrist related conditions.
Ian provides client centred interventions, focusing on the rehabilitation of his client. This includes advice on specialist equipment, adaptations required in the home and hand therapies to support them regain their independence in day to day life.
Ian continues his development by attending training sessions and conferences, as well as maintaining his membership with The British Association of Occupational Therapists.
