Sophie specialises in neurorehabilitation and has experience in both the acute hospital and community settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions, including (but not limited to) Stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, brain tumours, Encephalitis, and chronic conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington's disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). She has worked with adults and young adults with learning difficulties, Dementia and Alzheimers, Anxiety Disorder, Depression and also with amputees.
Additionally, Sophie has also developed particular expertise in cognitive rehabilitation, postural assessments, moving and handling and functional task retraining. She is also experienced in recommending and implementing minor home adaptations to support safe and independent living following hospital discharge, and has a special interest in using assistive technology to enhance her clients' rehabilitation and daily function.
