Qualifying in 1991, Joy provides expert occupational therapy to clients in their own environment. She specialises in rehabilitation, specifically working with clients with complex neurological and life-changing conditions. Based in Derbyshire, Joy visits clients in Ashbourne, Chesterfield, Derby and Long Eaton.

Having worked in hospitals, community settings and private practice, Joy has gained experience assessing and delivering rehabilitation programmes for clients with neurological conditions, such as stroke, traumatic and acquired brain injuries and MS. Joy’s broad experience in neurological rehabilitation has given her a sound understanding of the complexities of these conditions and the functional and emotional impact they have on the client and their families.

Joy's specialist skills include assessing visual processing and delivering perceptual and cognitive rehabilitation, continually supporting her clients in increasing their independence. To help improve their overall quality of life and independence at home, Joy will also provide seating and wheelchair assessments, hoisting and functional assessments and equipment provision.

Joy is a qualified personal performance coach and uses her skills in motivation, confidence building and empowerment when working with her clients and providing occupational therapy.
