Jamila

Jamila is an experienced Neurological Occupational Therapist based in London. She provides specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for adults with neurological conditions and complex rehabilitation needs, with particular expertise in stroke and traumatic brain injury. Her clinical expertise includes upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive and visual processing rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation and functional rehabilitation. Jamila is also experienced in specialist seating and wheelchair assessments, complex moving and handling, equipment provision and minor adaptations.

Jamila works with adults living with stroke, traumatic brain injury, functional neurological disorder, Parkinson's disease, dementia, cancer, frailty and orthopaedic conditions. Her practice focuses on assessing functional ability, identifying barriers to independence and developing practical rehabilitation strategies that promote safety and participation in everyday activities. She is experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches, including constraint-induced movement therapy, splinting, strength training and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), alongside carer training and community integration.
