Case Manager’s Handbook: 2026 edition just released

We’re delighted to share the latest edition of our Case Manager’s Handbook, our comprehensive guide to working with The OT Practice.

First published in March 2025 as a detailed guide to our services, prices, referral pathways, clinical governance and outcome-focused approach, the Handbook remains an essential resource for professional referrers.

This new version reflects some important updates as we continue strengthening our clinical services and operational support. Most significantly, it introduces you to new members of the team looking after you, with clear guidance on their roles and how they support case managers throughout the referral journey.

Since our first edition, we have also launched our Customer Portal, which is now fully operational and already proving to be a powerful tool for referrers. Further details on how the portal can support your work are included in the updated Handbook.

We have also created a new version specifically for solicitors who refer to us, tailored to support PI legal professionals making direct occupational therapy referrals.

If you are a case manager or solicitor and would like a copy, please email Chris Hall, Operations Director for the Clinical Services division on chris.h@theotpractice.com. This 20-page booklet is available digitally to all case managers and solicitors.

Included in the Handbook:

  • Introduction to the people you work with
  • Assessment costs (fixed prices)
  • SMART goals
  • Outcome measures & PSFS scoring
  • 3rd party payments
  • Our online Customer Portal
  • Governance & compliance
  • Quality assurance
  • Our specialist clinical teams

…and much more

You can find out more on our dedicated page for case managers.
